Supervisor
Significant responsibility on one or more complex engagements or special assignments to coordinate process, evaluate working papers, interpret audit findings, analyze financial statements and tax returns. May supervise the work of others on engagement team. Provide clients expert assistance with complex accounting issues.
Essential Functions:
With minimal supervision:
- Primary contact for client, coordinating engagement process including resource allocation, job planning and scheduling
- Prepare or review examinations and complicated tax preparation for a wide variety of clients
- Direct and review the work of others on engagement team
- Review and evaluate working papers, analyze significant findings and review with partner
- Provide expert consultation to clients on complex accounting, audit, and tax matters
- Assure compliance with professional and regulatory standards
- Lead internal training programs
- Other related work
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- MS Taxation
- CPA in Massachusetts
- 4 - 6 years public accounting experience, preferably with Big 4 or regional firm
- Industry experience covering financial services, high tech, manufacturing a plus
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, PC spreadsheet capabilities
- Self-starter, skilled in communication, client service, time management, accounting and reporting skills
- Some local travel required
