Manager
Provide leadership in client relations, business advisory, and client marketing; manage engagement teams for successful execution of a variety of engagements; train, develop and counsel staff.
Essential Functions:
- Manage engagement teams on a wide variety of engagements, including proposals, scheduling, training, effective crisis handling, consultation, work review, and key liaison for client and engagement partner. Strive for improved efficiency, yield, and realization.
- Identify problems, analyze and resolve them realistically, creatively, independently, and timely
- Use marketing expertise to identify new business
- Build and maintain effective client relationships
- Project budget and deadline responsibility
- Effective delegation and review of work
- Act as mentor for staff accountant(s), trains others
- Participate in continuous improvement of firm practices
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, MS preferred
- 7+ years experience covering financial services, high-tech, manufacturing
- CPA in Massachusetts required
- Articulates thoughts clearly and completely, both verbally and in writing
- Requires some regional travel, especially during tax season
- Public accounting experience in Big 4 or regional firm is a plus
